Gaurd offers a setup guide and optional Mac and Windows helpers for Cloudflare Family DNS. Cloudflare's DNS service is free. Changing your router requires access to its administrator settings; Gaurd cannot change every router automatically.
The public guide and computer downloads are free. No account or payment is required to use them.
DNS filtering blocks many known adult and malicious domains. It cannot guarantee complete blocking. VPNs, private DNS settings, mobile data, device administrator access, and some apps may bypass it. Parents should test each device and use its built-in parental controls where needed.
The helper saves existing computer DNS settings so you can restore them using its Turn Off option. Router settings must be restored in the router. If you have connection trouble, restore the prior DNS settings or contact your internet provider.
