Gaurd for Mac
=============

Do this on the Mac that uses your home Wi-Fi.

1. Double-click START-MAC.command.
2. If your Mac asks for a password, type your Mac password and press Return.
   It is normal if the password does not show while you type.
3. Press 1 and Return.

You are done when the window says:

DONE: Gaurd is on for this Mac.

Then open this page to protect phones, TVs, and tablets:

To undo it later:

1. Double-click START-MAC.command again.
2. Press 2 and Return.

If your Mac says the file cannot be opened:

1. Hold Control on the keyboard.
2. Click START-MAC.command.
3. Click Open.

To protect phones, TVs, and tablets too:

1. Stay connected to home Wi-Fi.
2. Open one of these router pages:

http://192.168.1.1
http://192.168.0.1
http://10.0.0.1

3. Log in. The password is often on the router sticker or in your internet provider app.
4. Find DNS settings. Look for Internet, WAN, LAN, DHCP, DNS Server, or Advanced.
5. Turn off Automatic DNS if you see it.
6. Set router DNS to:

Primary: 1.1.1.3
Secondary: 1.0.0.3

If the router has IPv6 DNS boxes:

IPv6 Primary: 2606:4700:4700::1113
IPv6 Secondary: 2606:4700:4700::1003

To prove it worked:

1. Save the router settings.
2. Wait two minutes.
3. Turn Wi-Fi off and on again on a phone.
4. Open https://1.1.1.1/help on the phone.
5. Open these test pages:

https://malware.testcategory.com/
https://nudity.testcategory.com/

The two test pages should be blocked.
